As discussed, anyone and everyone involved in contact that caused a loss please take some time to watch the replay and tell us what happened by the end of the week or be presumed guilty and penalized.

There will be no arguing, you yourself are the judge. If you find yourself guilty of avoidable contact, the standard time based penalty will apply.

If you decide that you are not at fault, that's the end of it.

We don't want to hand out penalties, we want everyone to learn and improve.

Raises hand.

I had 2 incidents with Tom in R2. Both 100% my fault. Both similar. I turned into him at the end of the back straight when he had overlap clipping his front end. Then, at T1 later in the race, I got him again sending him across track and off. I should be well penalized due to the number of incidents lately. Sorry again Tom! I am trying to get it under control. I just can't seem to race these cars in close quarters without hitting someone. I'm fast, I feel like I have good control of the car until i get next to someone. Before this season I had a decent record of not taking anyone out, I wish I could figure out why. I WILL WORK TO DO BETTER, SORRY TO CAUSE PROBLEMS.

My mic wasn't working last night, I will try to figure it out this week. I ain't going out to buy a new one right now if it's broken.

Raising my hand also for incident with Mike race 2 lap 12 just after the bridge, I knew he was inside me and thought I had left enough room. I let him go by on the back straight the next lap but strangely enough when we got to the exact same spot again his car was suddenly right in front of me and I hit him while his was at an angle with the front of his car down in the track, I slammed the brakes but then seen his car driving away well out n front of me. So it was just a lag but cost me a bunch of time. Kind of now wondering if the first incident may have involved some lag seeing as how it was in the same spot and me thinking he was further back?

The rest of the racing, lap one first race first turn one I touched the edge and sent the car off track to come back on in last place, made back some spots then ended up spinning again later sending me back to last place again. Just tried to get back anything I could to finish 10th.

Race two got a good start and lead for a good portion of the race till Hutty and Mike got to me, Hutty got by and then the above incidents happened which allowed Pat to get to me and passing me so I finished 4th.

Told my wife after the races last night that all the guys wanted her to do the dishes on Sunday night instead of watching Netflix. :D

I actually did tell her about the problem after the races and about the dishes. She laughed. She will also lay off the internet for my races. She's pretty cool about that since she knows I love my racing night.

As for racing, I did my best Q lap on the first lap. I was almost .3 faster every lap in the first sector but couldn't complete the lap without losing it. Ah well.

Great racing chasing Dave in race 1 and race 2. I guess he mentioned some lag also in the same spot as KJ mentioned. I didn't experience anything at all. I watched the replay of race 2 & saw nothing irregular, odd.

Phone lines here suck the big one especially in the spring with all the water on the ground. Bell comes in at least 3-4 times a year and just bandage the problem.

I have no replay of race one. Practice sessions and qualifying; Race 2 is labelled as R1. Obviously I don't know how to use it.
So, if Jimmy tells me I'm at fault, I got nothin'. So be it.

Evidently I made a mistake bundling the replays, the race with AI between race 1 and race 2 through me off.

Fixing now.

Here are incidents involving me:

#1 Race 2, Lap 9, 00:38

Went for pass on Brandon at the end of the back straight. I didn't quite have the expected overlap, there was contact that upset both of our cars, nice save by Brandon otherwise I would deserve a penalty. Brandon took the blame for this but I'm more at blame.

#2 Race 2, Lap 11, ~00:38

Near repeat of #1 except that I kept it tighter or Brandon adjusted some and there was no contact until the transition to the following corner when Brandon came back left to setup for the right hander and clipped my right right front. The contact upset both of our cars but nothing gained to Brandon minimal loss to me, not worth talking about, sim racing incident. Brandon took the blame for this one but nothing to penalize here.

#3 Race 2, Lap 13, 00:06

Turn 1. I had gained the required advantage before turn-in and was under control, Brandon turned in, right front fender on my left rear fender which turned my car left to spin off the track, through the grass and into the barrier with race ending damage. I was not at fault.

Race director hat back on.

No penalties to anyone for #1 or #2

#3 will be a time penalty equal to a drive-through penalty.

So are you calling it a technical no-fault or are you taking the blame?

Just a reminder.

A major point of the self-enforcement is to post here.

I know that it's only Monday but mentioning an incident on Teamspeak doesn't count as reporting it.

Also, please, just let us know how the incident should be handled in respect to yourself.

A. Sim racing incident 50/50 no one at fault
B. You are not at fault
C. minor incident your fault but nothing gained by you nor lost by the victim no penalty
D. you are at fault and deserve the standard penalty.

I am going to go ahead and tabulate and post the results, mostly so that I can publish on Studio 397's forum ahead of announcing Round 10 there and, frankly, I have nothing better to do at the moment.

I'm assuming that KJ and Dave's incidents with Mike were due to lag.

The only noteworthy incident I recall with Jim Carvalho was him spinning across the track on exit of the last corner but IIRC he made it all the way across without hitting anything. I checked Liveracers which bewilderingly reports 9 100% level incidents for Tim and 8 for Jim so I can't deduce which lap. The only common lap on which Tim and Jim were both slow based on lap time is Lap 2. Tim already stated no fault, we haven't heard from Jim but his lap time was 15 seconds slower than Tim's so if the incident in question is truly Lap 2 then Jim almost certainly got the worst of it. If Jim was at fault and deserves a penalty for anything in race one it wouldn't change where he finished, Jim was the last car on the lead lap, the only running car behind him was two laps down. Whether or not Jim reports that he is at fault, it won't change where he finished.

Maybe there were some other minor incidents, bumps, if anything major I can revise the results.

Results are posted at the top and here:

https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/efnet-sim-racing-2020-btcc-championship-usa.65086/page-2

Please bear in mind that the sum of the points from each driver's worst two weekends was subtracted from the total points to arrive at the championship points.

Dave Hutton (Subaru) has a big lead in the standings but second place is very tight between Tom Lory (Honda), Brandon Smith (BMW) and Mike Campbell (MG).

I'm blaming it on my wife, too. Good fun, Tim. If stewards would like to make an example to show that rules are enforced, sock it to me. I just like close racing, not point tallies.
