Just thought I'd link these here as our season goes on, so you guys can keep tabs on some of us who are giving the V8 Supercars a try. Up first, Adelaide:

Round 4 from Wanneroo, several ESR drivers including myself, Pavel, and a handful of the TUM guys.

Another night of racing for the win both times, only to lose out on tire strategy. Sure can't wait until one of these races that DOESN'T involve Jeff Hooper running Qualifying lap times on worn tires. :|

I'd consider doing recaps like this for our races. I think I would do quite well on commentary. But I have NO idea how to produce them or edit them properly...

Does the server create a replay file? I know my replays go from good to horrible depending on how far the action is from me.

With a good replay I bet Gerardo could work wonders.

Agreed, but yeah you bring up another point, which is that with 40 car fields, there's lag all over the place. The server currently does not record replays (in the interest of performance) but I recall watching them here and there in the past, and they still had that problem. :(

Latest race from Circuit of the Americas. And yet another second place.

At least my tire strategy worked out well for once.

Good racing John. I did ok but just lost site of the front guys after the pit stops, the tire fall off is huge after 50% life.

I found that HGT helps with tire degradation.

I entered a R2P NAGT race to get data, for some reason switched to the tire screen towards the end of the race and was shocked to see that I had maybe one red square left on most of the tires. I hadn't even noticed

Of course, once I knew, I made one mistake after the other and went in for four tires when I went in to get more fuel that I was short of because I failed to set the relative fuel strategy parameter and was a few gallons short

Whoa, cool vid.

Look on the bright side, you're less likely to be the victim of a home invasion robbery with your stash of silver medals than you would be with gold , easier than tuning up on the acting skills explaining the dead guy and stressing about getting sued by the criminal's family for his wrongful death.

I wonder if homeowner's insurance covers that :? Maybe it's time for some umbrella liability coverage...
