We'll again be belted into the excellent RSM V8 Supercars @ at the thrilling Mount Panorama circuit for a simulation of the real life Bathurst 1000.

Pros and Sportsmen will contest their own classes, making this one of only two AES events that distinguish between the two groups to guarantee top points to Sportsmen.

The cars are functionally identical so simply pick your favorite and get to work on setup and race strategy!

For the 2016 race, ESR raised the rev limit to address the speed on Conrod which had been slightly limited by the gearing and rev limiter.

The mod is very accurate to real life including the gearing being a bit short for Conrod. In real life, V8 Supercars specified a taller drop gear for the 2015 and 2016 Bathurst 1000 (as well as other tracks with the same problem). We chose to raise the rev limit to maintain the acceleration, keep the drivers' gear selection over the course of a lap unchanged and have no impact on engine braking which could affect the chassis setup and brake balance.

The change did not result in a quicker pole time but the race's fastest lap was improved by about 0.5 second.

Something failed with Liveracers timing and scoring so we have no speed data but testing proved that we will easily exceed the 300 kph mark during the race, if not qualifying.
