Exciting racing at Laguna Seca. I was not sure how the night would go. We had house guests this week-end, so I didn't have much test and tune time. I made a set simply by using the basic sliders, then made just one or two minor changes. I set a PB in qualifying, but it's not difficult to do when you don't have much practise in. Race one, I got up to fourth, but just couldn't keep up with the lead battle. Dave pressured me the entire race. He bumped me a few times, which made me nervous. I ended up overcooking T1 with only a couple of laps left and dropped to sixth. I got back on track behind Brandon and immediately bumped him off track. Sorry, B. I made sure he got back on track ahead of me and just finished the race. Race two, I had a good launch and managed to grab the lead. Again, Dave was behind me, but there were no mistakes this time.

Congrats to the other winners. See y'all next week. 8-)

So I've learned i don't know how to set these cars up.
Tom's set from last year helped out a lot. Felt better at speed and added confidence.

Race 1, I was ready to follow Eric until he made a mistake. Didn't think I could overtake him on my own as he has a good feel for this season looks like. I'm finding the tires on my car are a bit weak. Bit of a bump from Rob took out my rear right, so i had to stop and get a change. Naturally i forgot to turn off repair damage, so I enjoyed some tea while in the pits. Finished the race though. I was trying for fastest lap since there was no one to race with.

Race 2 started me up front and i was feeling good. I was conscious of holding up the Pro's just a bit, but dammit, If they wanted my spot they were going to have to take it from me. Until I screwed up my shifting and got sideways in turn 2. I think it's turn 2 anyway. Bah! I was so mad at myself. KJ had no where to go and gave me a poke, which relieved me of one of those weak tires I was talking about.

limped around to the pits and got another change. I was disheartened at this point as I'm a lap or two down again. Decided to chase Barry around for bit, try to make it interesting. So that's what I did.

Wow! Just watched the replay of my bone head move that took out Tim and Max...very sorry guys! Had the drag race going with max and knew better boys...should have fallen back in line, ride it out a few laps and let things shake out :|
Last thing I want is a sportsmen class of six to be cute in half on the start of the race
This was definitely a bad weekend at the track
Congrats to the winners and warriors and as always thanks for hosting the big show :)
See u guys at miller,

Congrats to the winners and podium finishers.

I have a love/ hate for this track, I think it has to do with what I think is a weird grip level and having to predict when to turn into the corner because the front pushes then the rear is loose.

Practice during the week I was able to get close to my previous seasons PB. Qualy time came and I set multiple PB's and the last lap of Qualy set my best and only .003 slower then Tom for 2nd on grid. :o

Race One: Practice start Pat goes to my inside in turn one and gets 2nd, hmmm........ Real start Pat goes to my outside and gets 2nd coming out of turn 1, damn! So the rest of the race I chased Pat chasing Tom, the three of us ran nose to tail for the most part the entire race. Neither Pat nor I could pull off a pass, I just tried to not take out Pat and stay close in case I had opportunity to pass either one. We finished in that order.

Race two: Little more interesting beginning laps trying to move up. As Tim said lap two I think I went into turn 1 real tight trying to go to the inside of Tim and all of a sudden the nose of Tim's car was 90deg to me right in front, no place for me to go. After things settled out found myself in 3rd chasing Hutty who was chasing Cam, this was familiar. This time the three of us were a little more spread out, and worked my butt off to try and get to Hutty. Unable to get close enough to make anything happen but right there and that is they way we finished.

Awesome races and I set fastest lap in race 2 trying to get up to Hutty. :D
