2018 ESR Trans Am Series Car Classification 1968 Chevy Camaro "Penske" - High top speed, great torque, good overall grip, bit understeery, a little down on braking power, 2013 T/A champion. 1970 Chevy Camaro Z/28 - Good handling but with inherent low speed off-throttle understeer but no major quirks, decent gear selection, poor brake cooling leads to the worst brake fade of the class, durable engine, on the slow side as far as acceleration but gains on longer straights with the highest top speed of the class. 2016 T/A champion. 1971 AMC Javelin - lowest top speed, great torque, excellent mid-corner grip, good overall balance, easy to throw around, bit down on braking power, new gears and rev limit fix for 2015 made this perhaps the best all around car on the track. 2017 T/A champion. 1970 Dodge Challenger - Decent top speed, high-revving, best braking of the group, quick turn-in, loose under throttle. Not a single driver in the history of the Sunday Trans Am championship series but Mike Campbell won with it during the 2013 Tony Rust exhibition race. Well overdue for some appreciation and success. 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 - quickest acceleration and high top speed under race conditions, strong but difficult to exploit brakes, good exit grip, default set needs lots of work, worst understeer in the class, great gear selection, pleasing engine howl, most wins in 2013 with 2014 T/A champ Rich Coffey at the wheel who was in contention for the championship until he missed a race weekend. 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda - Stable, high top speed, good brakes, limited gear selection, was a contender in 2013 and 2015. 1970 Pontiac Firebird - Chassis and gearbox are identical to the '70 Camaro Z/28, specs out with a little less power but at least 500 more revs seem to even it out, few drivers but Bojan Mikic ("Kiby") dominated at many tracks with a slower version and Dave Hutton was very competitive with it in 2016. 2018 ESR Trans Am Series Driver ClassificationT/A Pro

I'll try the '68 Camaro this season. Not sure which number?

I'm running my car from a couple of seasons ago:
AMC Javelin (#250 Garmin/Catalinbread GBR)
As usual, I'll be an inconsistent starter.

I'm going to try to make some races (and not be a rolling hazard). I'll just take the Dan Gurney AAR Cuda #48. No need for a custom skin. Sorry I had to bail last night at the last minute...

Hello, even if scheduled time is a nightmare for me I would like to try to race. I practiced Mid Ohio with a Javellin so, if possibble, I would like to race with that car. Let me know which skin I have to choose.

Thank you!
If I well understand, the Javellin #9 Team Penske (HistorX standard skin) is still free. If it's OK, I'll jump on it.

Hi, Luca.
I know that it will be tough for you to race so late Sunday night / early Monday morning but I am hoping that you will enjoy so much that it's worth the effort.
You may use the stock #9 Javelin, no problem.
At this point in the championship your classification is not so important but seeing your PB lap time, I will classify you as a Pro and see how it goes.

To be honest, I did not understand what the split in Pros/Gentlemen means. If both race together or if there are some other differences. For sure I'm not a pro but I'm fine with your choice. Usually my practice laptimes are better than quali ones and much much better than my race pace. Late night time could also add unknown issues. I planned to not stay awake but to go to sleep and then wake up right 15/20 munutes before quali. We'll see how it works for the race and for the rest of my monday

Classification changes nothing for the race.
You start where you qualify and we invert the entire grid for Race 2 from the finish of Race 1.
Points are paid based on overall finishing position.
"Pro" and "Sportsman" matters for wins, poles, fast laps, top 3, top 5 stats and championship points by classification. 1 point is awarded for pole and fast laps from each race for each class.
Series champions get their own car added to the league version of the mod as a trophy.
