Brandon, me, Pat and KJ are in contention for the championship to be decided next Sunday.

That means that the Trans Am championship has been decided at the last round every season - six straight years - but four drivers realistically in contention sounds like a first.

Brandon, Pat, the Javelin and both Camaros have enjoyed Trans Am champion accolades.

Bobby Lee is unassailably the 2018 Trans Am Sportsman champion. Congratulations Bobby on your first ESR championship!

I may attempt to prepare a Champion Edition car for Bobby in time for Sebring but if not I vow to have them ready before we start the GTC season and include them in the GTC league patch so that I might stay on top of them from now on as they are intended to be the championship prizes.

Second place in Sportsman is harder to predict with throwaways still in play but most basically it appears to be between Barry King and Tim Porter with Max Frechette needing a miracle or to wake up Sunday morning possessed by an ESR alien from the past (miracle) to have a shot at runner-up.

Henceforth, intentional track cutting will be punishable by disqualification and a beer fine payable to the admin who has to deal with redoing the stats

Im very sorry for the track cutting. Got through an accident, I didnt want to race alone... I just tried to get the pace and have fun with max and bobby. Normally I dont do that but for the unusual low attendance of the night, I figured I was no big deal. I didnt think about the stats, sorry again :S I wont happen again

I understand, Eric.

More so than the stats, it was a distraction during the race to drivers within sight and myself who is aware of the split times and every position on the track is worth points and can affect the season outcome.

A goal on race day is a balance of realism and fun, trying to make the racing as lifelike as we can get away with without pushing people away. Everyone has a bad race occasionally, dealing with it is part of racing.

One of the few tracks with hills that I actually like
Had a blast both races trading paint the ever fierce Max Frechette :D
I made a few mistakes (Sorry!) trying to get around him but felt like the moves I made were do able given a little more room in my lane.
Sorry you ended up with with what I'm sure was a handful to drive my friend...We do it right next week at Sebring 8-)

Hopefully it will be a big turn out for the finale at one of racing's Crown Jewels
God Speed guys :!:

Side note Tom..
Scoring is wrong, Max had the pole and my fast laps are from last week I think

Congrats to the winners and podium finishers at always fun track. :D

Had ok pace in practice but just couldn't hit a 34. Qualy time still couldn't but good enough for 3rd on the grid.

Race one: Got an ok start and after the first couple of corners was on Tom's bumper chasing him in 2nd. As we came down the hill into the last corner I got a good run but didn't think I could pass, my nose was on the inside. Touching the curbing made me push into his fender, recovered and then I taped him again sending Tom to the grass in the inside and me to the outside( Sorry Tom). I kept it straight and eased it back onto the track at the same time Tom came back onto the track. We slapped sides sending me into the outside wall, then spinning back onto the track in front the rest of the field. I ended up in turn one sitting and Barry ended up clipping me pushing me out into the sand. I was so stunned at what had all just taken place that I just sat there for a couple of seconds before getting going. With the front pack already some 25 sec or so ahead of me my race was down the drain.

Race two: Got a good start and was in the lead after turn one with Coffey behind me. I was able to pull a little gap on him but by lap 4 he was dogging me big time. On lap 8 he got a good run beside me in the braking zone for the last chicane. We went through it next to each other but I came out ahead. On lap 11 I finally got got a breather, looked his tires might have been going with couple of slip up's the corners before the back straight. Was able to not make any mistakes and bring it home in 1st. :D

I'll take the win but really needed a better points finish in race one. See ya next week.
