Looking ahead to racing rF2 it's been annoying me that there is essentially zero performance related info on the cars available in-game; don't even know when to shift

Even club racers visit the dyno and learn their engines' power curves, have an idea of what is acceptable for brake temps and quite probably know the optimum tire temperatures as recommended by their tire provider.

As far as classes, the best we can realistically do is test as much as practical and hope that the cars in a car set are fairly balanced.

I now understand that I could tweak cars so long as their pertinent files aren't encrypted but my personal goal going forward is to be more racer and less admin.

Anyway, using the MAS tool in rFactor 2, one can when not encrypted extract the physics files that we're used to accessing freely (HDV, TBC, engine.ini, etc) and the VEH(icle) fles and get nice reports using Carstat v2.3

The tool can also be used to calculate pit stop duration to help with strategy.

Here's a screenshot for the Simtek GT3 Camaro engine:

And one for the tires:

My intention is when possible to provide basic performance related data for all of the cars in our championship series.

I know this doesn't belong here so please move it as you see fit.

Does anyone know a good HUD plugin that works and is compatible with Win 10? Thanks!

I've been using CarStat for a while. Very handy utility.

I haven't found one yet. With the transition to DX11, rF2 lost the ability to use plugins like GID. I tried a couple of overlay applications (separate program that listens to rF2 telemetry then displays on top of the game) but they all sucked for one reason or another.
