This weekend was intended to be an off weekend but you may as well check in on the server around 6:00 PM Pacific Time, there's bound to be some guys online playing with the BTCC cars.

I may change up the track selection so that we're back to Steam-only content (in which case everyone will semi-automatically already have the tracks), may have more luck catching some new drivers but if not then it'll be Brands Hatch (GP and Indy), Knockhill and Snetterton.

We had as many as 8 drivers at one time.

Proved that Brands Hatch would not be a good venue for the first race weekend because of tricky T1 and the Knockhill isn't going to work for us as a group with these cars, too narrow and technical.

I did some testing afterwards to get a feel for the other two Snetterton layouts as alternatives to Knockhill. "100" is too short and slow but "200" is great.

I'll have Snetterton 200 up for at least another hour before I switch over to Stock Car Ressurection.

Good time racing last night, really good test for me and racing VR. Did a couple of stupid moves and one took out Cam in turn one on the start at Brands, sorry Cam. We are all learning what you can and can't do with these cars and driving RF2.

I think we could handle Brands after get a little into the season, Knockhill on the other hand never have liked that track.

I typed a bunch more last night but sausage fingered a bad combination of keys and lost all of it.

I've been setting the server up with 10 AI @ a 15X multiplier to put down rubber. I was stunned that they came back for the races after I booted them in either qualifying or practice. I hadn't given the process a thought as I'm sure that I've been able to eliminate them in the past. I tested on my own later, booted them in warmup from the dedicated server's interface and they remained in exile for the race so I think that we're okay. For race weekends, I'll have 10 AI for 30 minutes' of official practice, will boot them with 90 minutes to go in the session.

Sounds good Tom. Thanks!

I'm competitive at Brands but a little off at Knockhill and in left field at Snetterton. Had fun though, door to door like real BTTC's. Will try and practice more than usual.

It was nice to race with the old members again. I told my wife Sunday nights are taken with racing again. Let's hope nothing comes up.

I also noticed tire wear seems way more important in rF2 than rF1. Should make things more interesting.
