Rolling starts again this weekend, the goal being to use them all season.

Reminders:

Everyone drops their three worst weekends so everyone is still in contention for the championships.

Anyone may switch cars before and up to qualifying this weekend. You are committed to whichever car you qualify with for the remainder of the season.

New (never came up): drivers who haven't done any races have two race weekends to commit to a car.

I watched some real life IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup racing from Laguna Seca that featured a standing start.

The competitors completed several warmup laps single file and formed up for the race start before the final corner from where they proceeded at a low speed until the green was waved.

We can't do multiple warmup laps but I think that the plan will be to give the pace car a ~30 second lead, leave the grid one by one, do a brisk warmup / sighting lap, then fall back into formation after Turn 10 (second to last corner).

Actually, scrub part of that, we'll regroup after T9. It's a short run from T10 to T11 and we're not good at rolling starts yet.

I'll be there with the purple Dodge. This will be my first ESR race since October 2016, and I haven't done any laps yet. I'll be on the server tonight to tweak my rig and setup, and test MUMBLE etc... hope to see some of you on there.

Red Racer is back :D

I think that the Challenger will be good at Laguna...

We'll see where Jonathan's lap times put him but I'm thinking that the Sportsmen class has improved and could use another driver ;)
