I hit a tree.
Like dead on, not even a glancing blow.
The Cuda went feral on me after a small foray onto the shoulder.
It was a merciless reminder as to who was really in control here.
Wasn't me.

It's a savage beast.

I did alright, I guess, having downloaded the track less than an hour from qualifying. I did not get a setup I was happy with. I was still messing with it during warm-up. and between the races. I was having an exciting duel with Rich and KJ for a while, until KJ dropped and Rich dropped me. Got lonely after that. Race two, I dropped a wheel under braking and spun out on the first lap. I caught and passed Eric and Barry, but, again, got lonely for the rest of the race.

See you next week guys. 8-)

I have a love/ hate for this track. The love part is it's my home track, been to it many times and actually have driven on it kart racing. The hate part is sim racing it I usually have minor to major issues during a race keeping on the racing line.

Tonight proved no different from mediocre qualifying to giving up positions due to mistakes. Race one was doing ok till I dropped off Pat and Tom then gave Rich and Cam spots. That sucked but was having fun racing Cam and Rich working to get my spot back till...................poof disconnected from server. Wow that hasn't happened for awhile now.

Race two more of the same, got in the lead and lead for awhile. Then the mistakes and not running fast times like I have in the past, before I knew I got swallowed by Pat and Tom. Few laps later Rich goes by.

Not a good points night for me. :(

It's always hard to tell at a glance with the throwaways to be factored in but I think that I may have blown a golden opportunity to put myself in solid contention for the championship.

Brandon had to work and it seems that everyone else got complacent with a well known track. I only practiced on Sunday before the race, couldn't match my pole time from last year but everyone else was even more off pace.

Being on pole was not an advantage with the rolling start, due to the ever so slightly slow on acceleration Z/28 and long run to anything resembling a braking zone so I quickly fell to P2 or P3 but was able to get back to the front by virtue of the draft and pull a gap in the twisties to stay up front.

I woulda shoulda coulda been able draft my way to the front in Race 2 but I felt pressure to stay as close as possible through the infield which hampered my line of sight and rythm and I touched the slippery bit bordering the asphalt and grass and skittered off the track into a fence, caving in the right door and costing my speed on the straight which made me push harder in the corners and led to more mistakes.

I figure I gave up 21 points which I can see easily being the decider at the end of the season.
